Discover Graffiti6 - Colours
I should have learned by now not to judge a book by it’s cover, or a band by their name! Somehow in my head Graffitti6 was a hipster electronic act with computers and all that jazz. Don’t get me wrong I do love some of that stuff but boy I could I have been further off!
At SXSW this year, I was with our friends Planet LA Records and Quantum Entertainment as they put on the Whole Foods Roof Top Show. i was going about my own business (or actually the business of sponsoring web solutions company Section 101) when a song slipped into my ear, slid down my throat and grabbed my heart resulting in a minor halt of it’s beat.
Confusion passed quickly and gave way to the hypnotizing song. I was pulled in like a magnet, grabbing some footage before I even realized who I was watching.
We are working on an upcoming interview with the very pleasant blokes of Graffitti6, and I will forever highly recommend their live show.
You can pick up the 2x12” LP colored vinyl gatefold of Colours at your favorite participating local record store on Record Store Day, released by Capitol Records.
Enjoy!
