#813: kate bush - wuthering heights (1978)
considering that she spent her advance from emi records on interpretive dance lessons, the fact that kate bush decided to make a second wuthering heights video with more or less the same dance movements (and the kate-bush-wide-eyed-straight-at-the-camera thing!) but in a red dress instead of a white dress actually seems pretty reasonable. the obvious highlight here—in the white version, the one with a fog machine—is the slow motion turn during what i think we can all agree is the finest chorus that’s ever graced the radio. and i don’t even like the Bronte sisters.
