Sometimes I go whole days listening, bored, half sleep
I won’t say anything that’s worth a thing to me

My Jerusalem - Bury It Low - Gone For Good (2010)
Perfect = leaving an appt, getting decent news (for once), the sun shining brightly, having the top down, playing this jam ear-poppingly loud, whilst driving slightly above the speed limit…
Well, actually, racing down the highway - dreds in tow :)
My Jerusalem = a constant in my CD changer. Such a good disk. I highly recommend.
A good recommendation…Drive safely…

Listening to something soulful and soothing like this Lizz Wright gem before I go to bed.

We Could Be Friends by Freelance Whales
I needed something, some soothing music like this song, to temper the long commute today …
Deradoorian - Trying Your Luck (Strokes Cover)
I can’t stop and won’t stop listening to this. Even if you don’t like the Strokes you should listen to this cover at least. Chuck full of environmental sounds, Angel Deradorrian lends her beautiful voice to give her unique take on the Strokes’ track Trying Your Luck. Using the classic styling of dub/reggae production which according to Deradorrian was a “…different type of challenge within my daily writing routine.”
This comes via a Strokes tribute album put together by Stereogum which include covers by Real Estate, Austra, Peter Bjorn and John, Wise Blood and The Morning Benders. You can pick this download up right now!

Walking On A Dream - Empire Of The Sun
I listened to this song non-stop a couple years ago. It’s like seeing an old friend when I hear it again.

newness from st. vincent. agree with britticisms: like all great st. vincent songs, this one builds and builds until the momentous conclusion that ultimately blows you away.
